Children in need happen once every year to support people who are less fortunate and to help them. People do lots of fundraisers and on the day people would normally dress up and to raise money. The mascot of children in need is a yellow bear with an eye patch called Pudsey.
On that night they do a lot of shows to see how much they can donate last year the whole of the UK donated over £31 million pound. Every year we always beat our previous record. Celebrities also help out with the show and famous people. Children in need is also similar to red nose day.
